Abstract

This lecture on Thomas Kuhn's The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, delivered at Lawrence University on February 4, 2002, was designed for students and faculty in the college's Freshman Studies program. Freshman Studies, a multidisciplinary introduction to the liberal arts, has been the cornerstone of the Lawrence curriculum for over fifty years. The lecturer, Matthew Stoneking, is Assistant Professor of Physics at Lawrence. Professor Stoneking holds the B.A. from Carleton College and the Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.
