Abstract

This lecture on Aldo Leopold's A Sand County Almanac, delivered at Lawrence University on February 11, 2004, was designed for students and faculty in the college's Freshman Studies program. Freshman Studies, a multidisciplinary introduction to the liberal arts, has been the cornerstone of the Lawrence curriculum for over fifty years. The lecturer, Jodi Sedlock, is assistant professor of Biology at Lawrence. Professor Sedlock holds the Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research interests include community ecology and conservation biology.
