Artist Statement

Clay is human. It is fragile. It has a limit. It can be pushed to a breaking point.

And it can shatter.

But clay is malleable. It requires patience. It takes time. It can be born again and reshaped by the experiences of that which came before it.

I am fragile. I have been pushed to a breaking point again and again.

And I have shattered.

In order to piece myself back together, I must be transparent and share my experiences. I must look inward and contemplate the ways I deal with trauma.

This piece is an aggregate of more than 30 mental health stories.

It is an intended healing space.
