Artist Statement
My work throughout 2013 and 2014 is a project focused on utilizing the studio. I wanted to take elements of graffiti and make prints suitable for the gallery setting. Using inkjet prints of train yards, I combine them with patterns and different lettering that have formed outside the studio setting. Printing on photos is a combination that allows me to place these patterns and letters into any setting I choose. These settings are locations in which I feel the real artistic ability and freedom comes out. The real gallery is not the white box, but the rusty box that rolls by on the tracks.
