Makerspace Pedagogy Workshop 2016

Follow

A makerspace on a college campus provides many ways in which students can be creative, active learners, gain technological confidence, and become more engaged with their campus and coursework. The ACM Maker Workshop specifically addresses the integration of a makerspace into the higher education curriculum. In addition to presentations, discussions, and hands-on activities, the workshop features a presentation entitled "3d printing across the curriculum: from liberal education to the replicator" by Bryan Alexander. With the generous funding of an Associated Colleges of the Midwest Faculty Career Enhancement grant, Lawrence University invited interested faculty and staff from all ACM schools to participate in the workshop.
